01 / THE STORY

Some friends
find you.

For Louka Berman, that friend happened to be a raccoon.

Louka and Pepper’s unconventional bond became a story people couldn’t stop sharing. A man and a little raccoon, making a home together in Montréal.

Then Québec wildlife authorities sought to seize Pepper over concerns about keeping a wild animal without a permit. Pepper went into hiding, and Louka feared what could happen if his companion was taken.

The story reached a community that wanted to help. That’s where $PEPPER comes in.
